My land lard is scheduled to be appear in court in November due to traffic violation. He was accused of running the red light and he decided to appear. However, he will not in the country during the hearing date. He asks me if it is possible to re-schedule a hearing date with the court. He doesn't understand English and want me to contact the court.
I think it is a unreasonable request. We are talking a $100 fine only.|||"He doesn't understand English and want me to contact the court."
Then why are you asking it on Yahoo instead of contacting the court? Every court in every county accross the United States has different rules concerning this. You'll need to contact that court and find out if it's permitted and, if so, how to do it.|||not sure where you are -- call the court clerk's office.
if its just a traffic violation and he intends to plead guilty, can't it be paid in advance and thus no court date is required?|||Yes you can request a continuance, but if your not an attorney representing your Land lard (Lord) your probably not going to get it.
