Can you ask an employee to leave earlier that her scheduled resignation date?

We have an employee where I work that has been a problem since she was hired. She has resigned stating she hates that she has to work full time. She is rude loud fights and argues with other staff and has been spoken to many times regarding her behavior. Can she be asked to leave before her scheduled resignation date?|||yes she can be|||A 2 week resignation notice is provided to give the employer the opportunity to full the position so it does not go vacant for a prolonged period. You do not have to accept this notice, but rather, you can thank the employee for the consideration and inform them that a 2 week notice is not necessary and they can resign immediately.

Good luck|||if you are in the US and an employee gives 2 weeks notice, you can accept it early without paying unemployment, you are not firing him/her you are accepting their resignation early happens quite often for a variety of reasons|||Heck yeah.

I think if you personally had the power you'd know that already and would have done so. Hope you don't have to suffer too much longer.|||Absolutely, you can.|||The person could be discharged and draw unemployment until her new job starts.|||Yes, and you can do it right now.
