Is it possible for a judge to give a sentencing at arraignment and not schedule another court date?

I was recently charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. My count date is in 3 weeks and I was wondering if it at all possible if i plea not guilty. can the judge give me my sentencing at arraignment or would another court date HAVE to be scheduled? Oh and this is the first and ONLY time i have been in trouble with the law. I am 19 years old.|||If you choose to plead not guilty then you will need at least another hearing after the arraignment.|||?? Not guilty means that you are disputing the charge. If you plead GUILTY the judge might be able to assign your fine right then and there, but rules vary..|||They almost never do that. Typicaly if you plea not guilty (which you always do) they schedual another court date to assign you an attorney or meet with the one you hire. When in trouble with the law always plea not guilty, then get a lawyer, then make a plea bargin with the D.A. Also if you did have alcohol in your posession and you are guilty tell the D.A. and the ticketing officer you are sorry. Whenever you apear in court make a good impression dress nice and address the court properly. Look everyone in the eye for a few moments, to let them know you are here in the present. Every court in America will give you a free pass once if you take the right steps to show you are sorry and that you have learned your lesson. Plea to a lesser charge! Say disturbing the peace.
