How do you know if a man you met on-line is sincere in his interest to date you? ?

I recently met a man online. He contacted me. After a few email exchanges and texts we met for drinks. We talked for hours and he indicated he would like to go out again. Due to schedule conflicts it has been a couple of weeks. I send a text every couple of days just to say hi and to try and keep some connection before our next scheduled date. But if he is never initiating the texts, has been gone the last three weekends, etc. am I just wasting my time????|||idk maybe|||You know a guy is interested in you if he keeps contacting you.
