I missed my scheduled date for jury duty. Is there a way to report this without a penalty?

It was scheduled for 8/30/06. Just got caught up with my business. I'm willing to serve at a later date.|||this happened to me too i was scared i was going to get in trouble or fined . i just called them and told them the truth, that i forgot, and they said its ok. and just had me reschedule and when i got the new letter i couldn't do it so my boss wrote them a note and they excused me . don't worry it'll be ok.|||Honesty is always the best policy.

They will re-schedule your service.|||best to call and tell them you were out of the state or something cause there are consequences for not reporting....it would look bttr to call then not say anything at all

Good Luck!|||Call and admit to it. You might not be punished then.|||Call the contact no. on the jury summons %26amp; tell them what you told us %26amp; they'll probably just give you another date.|||That depends on the laws of your state. Check your state's website|||Call the office of the jury commissioner and see what can be done. You were not the first, and won't be the last, to miss a jury call. As long as you are helpful and reasonable, they will work with you.|||I doubt it...

You will probably be hearing from them...|||Just ask the sheriff's deputy when he comes knocking on your door. I expect that an order has already been given by the judge to bring you in!|||You may be penalized. It's totally up to the district you live in. But don't ignore it. Call them up and tell them about your mistake. Odds are they'll tell you, 'It happens all the time, don't worry about it'.|||Although it is supposedly mandatory and the law to show up, just recently my wife reported and said a lot of the people on the list didn't show. The same people did not show for the entire two week period.

Point is no one went out and got them.

The court really doesn't have the resources to track these people down and nothing will come of it. I would just forget it and wait on the next one.

You're more likely to have the court give you a hard time if you were to contact them and say you missed.|||Most states let you have one pass, no questions asked. NY has this. If you haven't used your pass yet, you can use it now even though you've missed your date already. Just call the County Clerk's office - the number should be on your jury duty card. And he will tell you what to do.

If you don't live in NY, the procedures should be about the same. It should not be a problem.

Schedule wedding date around guests?

I'm getting married next june, and my fiance and i could only rent out the location we wanted on a sunday instead of a saturday. the problem we have now is my sister complaining about her not being able to come to the wedding (she lives in VA and I am in MD) because it's on a sunday and she won't have time to get back home before her kids need to go to school. anyway, she was going to be my maid of honor and her kids were going to be in the wedding as well. my question is, do you think i should change my wedding date and look for a different place, or just keep what i have and find a new wedding party? |||Hi. This is something you will need to work out with your sister. Personally, I don't see the big deal of letting your children miss one day of school for their aunt's wedding. Seems like your sister is trying to spoil things for you. IF you had your wedding on a Saturday, wouldn't she have to take the kids out of school on Friday in order to be there for the rehearsal? So....what's the big deal if you have the rehearsal on Saturday, wedding on Sunday, and she takes the kids out of school on Monday to travel back home. As I see it, she would need to take the kids out of school one day anyway.|||keep it the kids could miss one day if need be|||Why can't her kids miss ONE day of school?|||Hmmm. She is your sister and let her take the kids out one day. If that isthe place you want then book it |||If it's your maid of honor, I'd change plans.|||How important is it to you to have your sister at the wedding?

The wedding is YOUR day. If you want your sister there, you'll have to work around her schedule. If you don't, schedule it when you want it.

On the other hand, your sister should recognize it's YOUR day and should try a little harder to work with you.

Good luck!|||Your sister should know that your wedding is very important day in your life. You shouldnt have to rescedulal unless this isnt realy the place you want. Who cares if your sisters kids miss a couple days of school, she should come anyways. |||keep your wedding the same its YOUR special day not your sisters so what if the kids miss a day of school its not gonna hurt anyone!

good luck and congratulations !|||You have your wedding when you want to. Your sister should make an exception for her children, and be sure and be there for you. This is the most important day in your life, and it is only one day out of their lives.

Your sister needs to be more considerate of your special day.|||it's your wedding your guest should either agree to work around it or not come at all. wouldn't you take a day off school and work for your sister wedding?|||I think you should stand firm on your plans and say to your sister "Sorry sis, but Sunday is the only day I can rent out location. I'd love to have you as my maid of honour but I can understand your worries and if you cannot make it. I just wish there was something I could do." Then let her know gently that if she can't make it, could she please let you know.|||I do not think you should reschedule your date- she's your sister, and they are your nieces and nephews, they can miss a day of school (besides its June the year is almost over!) (and this is coming from a teacher!) IT'S ONE DAY! You need to approach your sister and tell her its very important that she figure out how to be in your wedding with her kids. You need to tell her that this is the day and place you want it and you are going to be hurt and disappointed if she can't come- i would be livid if my sister gave me some BS excuse like that because she couldn't come to my wedding! And i live in a different country than my sister! So... Good Luck!|||Remember, it is your wedding and not your sister's wedding. Many people make special allowances for traveling to this type of special ooccasion Your sister could have the children miss a day or even a half of day of school for this. I am sure the school district will understand. If it is in June of 2009, most school's are finished with their instruction by that time so, the children really won't miss anything. To better prepare your sister's children's school, you r sister can go to the school prior to the date and inform the teacher(s) of the event and the teachers can assign any work due that day. Monday is usually an instruction day and generally the children can make up what is introduced on Monday on Tuesday.

If you and your fiance have your heart set on one location and that is the only time to get it, I say do it and your sister will be there because this is important to her and you. Have your sister check the school calender for next year and see how close the wedding date is to the end of school to reassure herself that is it would be okay for the children tto miss a day of school next June. Good Luck and happy wedding planning!|||Which do you want more, your sister and her family to attend or your first choice location? That will tell you.|||You know what if she's your sister and she loves you she'll understand and make other arrangements. How do her kids need to go to school in June? It's almost the end of the school year by then--they won't miss much. Seriously! go with the date you planned. I had mine on a Sunday b/c the venue we wanted was affordable on a Sunday. It just happened to be mothers day. My husbands sister complained and I said ya know what your daugther is 13 you've celebrated 13 mother's days before and how many will you celebrate after this? It's one day out of the year and maybe your life where it gets to be all about you so I say do what you want.|||If that is the place you want, then keep it!! Its your SPECIAL day! Your sister should work with your schedule a little. She could let the kids miss one day of school, it isn't going to hurt anything. If she doesn't want to work with you....then change your wedding party, its her loss not yours. Good Luck! I hope you can work it out!|||Keep what you have ! and why can't they miss a day or two of school? And you did say June, unless they are in high school and they have to take finals, I don't see what the problem would be. They will be out of school soon wouldn't they?

Can you collect Social Security earlier than your scheduled date?

If so, what happens?|||62 is the earliest you can start to collect and starting to collect benefits before 65-67, depending on your birth year will DECREASE your monthly benefit PERMANENTLY by up to 25% if your full retirement age is 67 and you retire at 62|||There are a couple of ways...

1) Early retirement. You can collect up to 3 years prior to the date of your full retirement age (depends on the year you were born). They make you take a percentage cut (like 20-30% of your monthly benefit)

2) Disability. Can be any age but you have to prove you can't work. If you're below 55 you must prove you can't do ANY work - that means you cant sit at a desk, flip burgers, answer phones etc. If you're over 55 you have to prove you can't do what you've done in the past (at any time in your life - summer jobs in high school count as experience - not just your career) SSA doesn't expect you to be trainable after 55.

You would need a lawyer to assist you in the process of getting your benefits. The process can take 2+ years even with representation.|||You need 40 quarters of credits (that is, having been paying into social security for a period of 10 years) to be eligible. The number is lower for widows and disability, and can often vary on a case-by-case basis. |||No, unless you are disabled, then you can apply for social security disability and get full benefits.|||Age 62 is the earliest - but you collect 25% less than if you waited for your "normal" qualification age.|||jjjjj

Is there a way of getting my period earlier then the next scheduled date?

My monthly cycle is 28-30 days to the date. But I want it to come earlier on my next cycle (because I'm going away on a trip and I don't want the hassle!!!) Are there any remedies to make it come faster? My grandmother told me that eating lemons and pineapples may do the trick....any thoughts? Is it even possible?|||I'm not sure about making it come earlier...but you could skip it all together with BC pills|||for some reason i thiunk eating 3 lemons each day will make it come ealyer.its so weird but l8ly i hav had the answers just come 2 me i dont no 2 but ppl keept getting hurt and whatever i said would help they tried and it did now the ppl at my school realy do believe im a shaman(that is a phsycic that heals ppl.)|||the only thing I know is that when we had our cruise scheduled my doc had me piggyback my Birthcontrol pills and take them non stop for a few months before. If you arent using a hormonal birth control, I dont think there is anything you can do to stop it. I couldnt find anything on the net.|||There is a new form of birth control that will allow you to stop your period for up to 3 months at a time (just 4 times a year). A doctor can help you here.

The alternative is to stop it for up to 9 months... get pregnant!|||well...You could delay it, my mom says to take cinnamon, and it stops your period for a while. So just put cinnamon in your tea, or eat oatmeal, or something.|||Doubt it.|||Wear white pants and it will come... J/p. If you are on birth control just keep taking the active pills and that will stop your period (after your last active pill dont bother taking the inactives and start a whole new pack). It wont hurt you to do this. My ob/gyn says it is ok.|||If your on the pill it is easy just take the sugar pills earlier, but if your not it may be hard, sorry I'm not sure....

How do I date several people at once?

It gets complicated managing all their different phone numbers and emails, plus scheduling dates with them. And then on dates, half the conversations you start talking about another girl who was involved in something you did. Plus, you forget that you kissed one, but went further with a different one. You're back with girl 1 and you start touching her and forget that you didn't do that with her yet.|||I'd suggest you don't take more than 3 girls, mark them by colours in the calendar and practice the basic info about them....then expect they'll find out about each other and will punish you :)|||You are not the one then.lol. Get an Ipad.lol. You got to keep all the womens info straight. You not pimpin right.lol. You make mistakes alot and you will end up with jane and the palmera band.lol|||you know you arent gonna get a proper answer so why even ask such a ridiculous question...And if your such a player why do you need to ask advice on if you can get drunk on a date, your talking like your good with the ladies....|||First of all.... you need to date 1 girl and then if that doesn't work out go to the next. That's like cheating man! And I know I'm not gonna get 10 points cuz it's not what you wannna hear but oh well.|||Well first off, maybe you shouldn't be dating several girls at once and you wouldn't have this problem.|||why to date with so many..??|||Date 2 girls and write what was ur conversations with both|||may be cut down to one at a time it might help

and they will all soon find out and good luck when that happens|||Your full of poo|||thats bull****!you only date ONE PERSON!|||maybe you should just date one...|||Ummmm....you don't!|||i wasted my time reading this bull ****?|||u noe wat u should use!!

Should I schedule a court date for a speeding ticket?

1.On 07/27/09,I went to my arraignment in which the judge did ask me,"To plea guilty or not guilty!" Then, someone told him the speed that I was accused of going at was only a fine,so he say that I am not going to ask that. So,really? I never really pleaded, but the judge tell me that I can pay $225 USD or do 14 hours of community service plus $85 USD. The thing is that I didn't decide if I wanted to go to a trial, but note that this is my first speeding ticket. I do not know if the time that a police officer just give me a warning for speeding, did that go into my driving record. The thing is that I have to pay up by 01/27/10,but should I call the Anoka County Courthouse to schedule a court date?

2.If I do get a court date, what information should I ask for when it comes in regard to the police officer that accuse me of speeding?

3-7.Type up the time and what computer you are typing on when it comes to typing up the answers from start to finish? In addition, the time that you read this message from start to finish.

I type the headline at 12:06 P.M. CST and all of this from 12:06 P.M. CST-12:30 P.M. CST on my SONY VAIO FZ-140E Notebook Computer, yes I am weird enough to keep track of time. edit the headline at 12:31 P.M. CST after I preview it,then I post it at 12:32 P.M. CST!|||You have the right to plead guilty to any charge, even a misdemeanor that carries only a fine. Warnings won't show on your driving record. You can still go ahead and plead not guilty and take the matter to trial. If you are found guilty you can be sure that you will be stuck with the highest possible penalties and court costs too. If you really believe you weren't speeding, go ahead and fight it. You can ask for things such as the officer's notes and copies of in-dash camera footage if any was made. Heck, you can even pay an attorney $3000 to fight a two-hundred dollar ticket if you want to....Be aware that you hardly ever win when it comes down to your word against a police officer's.

I don't know WTF the thing is with the time but that's your problem......

How to schedule a play-date for kids with disabilities?

My son is Autistic and has been in a developmentally delayed class for a few years now. I was excited when I found out that we were was finally going to be able to have the opportunity to be around others that understand. I thought that others in this situation branched out and showed support. Hardly the case... Parents in the class keep to themselves and aren't really social? For 3 years I have invited around 20 kids each time for my sons birthday party and have had very little success. One year no one came. We have also joined a group for Autistic children. They don't even communicate with each other!!??... They get together once a month and that's it.

With that being said, my son is showing a lot of social progress. It's a happy time and yet a very sad one for us.My husband and I are both military and have finally settled in a home far from our family. Our son literally has no one to play with. He tries to play with other kids, but due to his lack of social skills other children kinda look at him like he's a freak. It saddens me. Well, I would like to arrange a play-date with the other kids in his classroom because I'm sure that some of the other kids/parents have experienced this. This is a very important opportunity for both my son and I. In past circumstances, I haven't done so well with having a good turnout to our events. I want to make sure that I schedule it a a comfortable time and place. I don't have the phone numbers, e-mail or addresses of the other parents in class. So I will have to send invitations through his teachers. Can anyone please give me advice on how to make a successful play-date? Thank you and have a good day!|||There should be other Autistic children at school. Autistic children at my son's school had separate classes from the other students. My son and another Autistic boy, Kevin, had classes together. They bonded and have a wonderful friendship.

Until my son was 10, the only people who attended his birthday parties were our immediate families. No one outside the family would attend. I guess people are afraid they will "catch Autism", so they stay away. It is very hurtful, but I did notice that my son didn't notice until I said something about it. So, now, I do not let him know if I am upset.

So, my suggestion, invite one friend from his class for a play date.
