This is my dilemma.... My due date is April 3rd. I really need to take my Praxis tests for my education courses. The next Praxis testing date is March 15th. The fee for the tests I would need to take is around $180.00 and the way I understand it the fee is basically non-refundable if I cancel at the last minute. Is it too close to my due date? What do you think?
All advice welcome.
Thanks! :)|||Maybe you could talk to someone about an "emergency" type situation, I mean, you would still be a few weeks away from your due date...so I think it should be fine.|||Generally, I would say not to make any big plans for the month preceeding your due date. However, I think March 15th might be okay. Are you having a normal, healthy pregnancy? Then, as long as you don't get too stressed out studying...I don't think it would be a problem.
Of course, I'm not a doctor or a psychic...so I don't really know.|||I think you'll be fine. Go ahead and schedule it. Unless you are in labor or delivered 2 days previously, you shouldn't have to worry about missing it. Alot of us women go overdue so in your place I'd plan for the test. I'm on my 4th pregnancy and my kids tend to go overdue so much that I honestly plan to be pregnant for 42 weeks. Sad, eh?|||The Praxis I are online so you can take those any time. Check with your school.
As for the Praxis II, I think you'll be ok, but how many Praxis' are you taking? Remember that most test sites don't have the best accommodations. I recommend calling ETS and speaking with someone about special reasoning. Maybe they can make sure to have a better seating arrangement for you so that you are not cramped in a tiny seat and desk that's attached.
Good luck with your tests and Congrats on the baby.|||It depends on how your pregnancy has went so far. If you have had a good easy (for the most part) pregnancy then it should be ok. I had a very rough pregnancy and had my son 4 weeks before my due date but I was lucky to make it that far.
