For women who have to have or have already had a c-section, how soon before the due date did the doc schedule?

I was just wondering because I am having to have a c-section on Oct. 9 or maybe the 10th, but my due date is Oct. 17. The dates just seems rather close to me|||This is my 3rd csection also (3rd baby) my due date is 7/26/08 and I go in on Monday 7/21/08 to have our little guy. I thought it was close also but dr says things have changed my youngest now was due on 12/25/03 and they took him 12/11/08 he was 6.5 lbs so now I'm worried I will be having a big baby :) however, dr's are now waiting closer to due date to help baby (lung development) according to my ob/gyn....so this is good!! Worst case is you go into labor and have emergency c-section (which I've had before) and not much diff then the scheduled one! My date was scheduled the week before when we found that he was in a breech position.|||I had my c-section 2 days before my due date. Dr found out baby was breech so it was a last minute thing.|||My c-section is schedule for the 28th of this month but my due date is actually August 4th. Exactly 1 week.|||Yeah I had 2 csections....And they like you to go as long as you can.My due date for my daughter was January 28th but they took her by a scheduled csection on the 22nd.N I was so scared I told my doctor Im gonna go into labor being that close.He said naa youll make it.I was hoping it would be about 2-3 weeks early in hopes then I wouldnt have to deal with labor and them stopping it for a csection.But it is healthier for the baby to stay in as long as possible thats why.Even as little as 2 weeks before expected due date can be bad for the baby as well as you.Good luck!Were trying for #3 and Im worried about a 3rd csection and if everything would be okay!|||~I have had 3 scheduled c-sections~





1. 6 days before my due date


2. 8 days before my due date


3. 7 days before my due date





My most recent doctor told me that doctors are not supposed to schdedule c-sections before the 39th week. Not even 38 weeks, 6 days. She says ethically it's not okay to deliver a baby before that without an urgent medical reason.|||If you are booking a c-section because there is a dnager if you go into labour...they usually book it about a week before the due date.|||im having a C section 11 days before my due date
