Does anyone know why the payment schedule is not accurate for stimulus rebates?

My daughter's SS # ends in 20 and she should get it electronically and hasnt heard anything from them yet. May 2 was the scheduled date for her rebate.|||CALL THE REBATE HOTLINE AT 1-866-234-2942 AND PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH THEN DO NOT PRESS 1 OR 2 JUST WAIT THEN YOU'LL BE CONNECTED TO A LIVE PERSON.TELL THEM THE SITUATION AND ASK THEM TO CHECK YOUR DAUGHTERS SS#.|||I'm so sorry I didn't bookmark the site, but I read about a possible answer to this question today. The IRS is utilizing a new system to process payments from now on, which is supposed to be faster and more efficient with deposits and creating paper checks. However, they are still using the older system, which is still slow. They are alternating between blocks of SSN within the payment schedule, splitting some numbers between the two systems for processing. Maybe her SSN was sent through the slower system. Keep checking the "Where's my Stimulus?" site to see if she has been processed yet. If she did her taxes through a tax preparer or a site like Turbo Tax or HR Block, it is highly likely she will be getting a paper check through the mail.

It would make much better sense if I could find that article, it was on a major financial site, I picked up the link through Google news. I'm sorry I can't locate it now, but I hope you get the gist.|||Does she qualify for a rebate? Did she file an Income Tax form for 2007? Does she owe back taxes?, Behind in child support or college loans? Those are the most obvious reason she failed to get a stimulus check|||Possibly she isn't eligible to get hers through direct deposit. A lot of people think they are but aren't.
