Do airlines charge for changing your flight schedule to come home earlier then your original date you planned?

I'm supposed to be leaving from my vacation on July 20th but was trying to see if I could possibly come home earlier. My original flights would be traveling on American Airlines, American Eagle, and Delta. It's not a real emergency it's more of a want. Do airlines always charge extra for changing the schedule like this? If so how much would it be? I would just like some estimates of prices that they would charge if they do or if anyone knows specifics. Thanks.|||If you bought one of the cheaper tickets or a restricted ticket, then the airlines will most likely charge you a fee to change your date of travel. Plus right now with planes pretty full, there may not be a flight with an available seat. Unless you really have to leave early, I suggest you fly out on July 20. Changing your ticket can cost anywhere from $120 - $150 plus any difference in ticket price.
